Living the Mangla Dam experience

It’s just a dam. A glorified phenomena in Pakistan because of perhaps few scientific
Landmarks in the country. I went there on a university trip. Isn’t my blog turning into a travel blog. Not bad, since I cherish the moments I spend in traveling.
Waking up in the early hours of the morning and ‘discovering’ the life outside at that time always invigorates me.
The Bus ride was good, as it always means guys letting loose and having party whose memories they’ll carry for uptill the next trip. It was good to see the don’t-party-it’s-a-taboo crowd of the university going wild .As for myself ,I didn’t went crazy as it seemed to me that only those guys were having the fun who could speak and indulge in jugaatbazzi Punjabi. Their idea of fun was jugatbaazi only. And moreover, not being on their wavelength I found it difficult get a push from inside to enjoy with them/.This what I was furious to myself about. Why don’t I learn to keep every single idea of being distinct aside and enjoy the moment.
Mangla Dam produces 100 MW’s of electricity everyhour. Equipped with large machines and a large reservoir of water Mangla dam is not a good tourist spot. Worth mentioning is the VVIP(read military personnels) Corner at it’s base which was irritating everyone in our group. Why can they only enjoy the benefits of speed boats and not us?hehe
As for the people here’s something about them

Outcast: He will never change himself even if he is imprisoned in lonely prisons.i appreciate that.

The-least -progressive-toothbrush-alive: This guy who’s a nerd to the ass and had a big party .he did all things wild and crazy in the bus. I felt relieved that he atleast got to express myself.

Mullah-Omer-in-underwear: This name taken from NFP’s recent article best suits this guy. A guy who always says that we will learn things when we grow up, which is his defense mechanism to cover his follies. He definitely put all the jugaats to some advantageous use.

The-right-guy-in-the-wrong-place: He had a big chunk of fun and had grown stronger and more dignified because of the experience.

The-undeserving-guy: He seems to have it all not because he deserves it but because of his ability to take first-mover’s advantage. Although he didn’t have as much fun but he achieved breakthrough in his agenda

Bitchy-conservative: He knows Punjabi jugaats and the art of seducing (by mainly positioning himself as the most grown up of the crowd) and that works for him.

Me: Me !! Though I was silenced by circumstances but still I had all-round fun.

Mangla dam did generate lot of currents which are traveling in the class psyche now .
