i don't know how you are going to find it but i consider this particular novel a major disappointment, i mean coming from paulo cohelo it was. i have found many people sharing the same view...it's the over all whory-frenchy-x-rated view meeting the philosophy-divinity mid way approach that i find off putting. towards the end however there are passages where you can glimpse into the mind of the genius. Anyways dont be putt off by this comment, do read the novel, as it owuld help you distinguish bw the excellent pieces and the not-so excellent pieces of Cohelo...
I have just read few chapters and am stunned by the bold sexuality in it.However Paulo Coelho's genius reflects in capturing the sexual moments of Maria too. A friend of mine told that me that he dumped the novel after just reading two pages.I dont mind reading such a sexed up philosophical novel though. It's dirty but it is Paulo Coelho dirty afterall
i guess one has to look beyond the surface meaning to find the inherent meaning. Keeping ur mystic inclinations in mind, one Paulo Cohelo book that i would recommend is "The manual for the Warrior of Light". It's not a novel though!
Thanx for recommending it.I've read almost all of his novels excpet this one.it is strange that " the manual of .." is not a novel
